Dr. Annette Hasalone, N.D., is the founder, innovator, and CEO of Elemental Research, Inc., the company behind the original Angstrom Minerals. For more than two decades, she has dedicated her work to developing high-purity, water-soluble liquid mineral supplements designed for superior bioavailability and cellular delivery.

As a naturopathic doctor, Dr. Hasalone recognized early in her career that many conventional mineral supplements were poorly absorbed. She set out to create a better solution: ultra-small, ionic minerals measured at the angstrom scale—small enough to support efficient uptake by the body. The result was Angstrom Minerals, a pioneering line of liquid ionic minerals manufactured by Elemental Research, Inc. since 2002.

After experiencing multiple spinal injuries at a young age and surviving two violent attacks as an adult, she was told by conventional doctors that she would likely be wheelchair-bound by age 40. Through her own research and the development of Angstrom Minerals, she was able to support her recovery, regain mobility, return to exercise, and lose more than 100 pounds.
This experience strengthened her belief that proper mineral balance plays a foundational role in the body’s ability to function and renew itself. It also fueled her desire to make high-quality, absorbable minerals accessible to others seeking to support their wellness.

In addition to product innovation, Dr. Hasalone has focused on education. She is the author of works including Off Balance, which explores mineral deficiencies, and the Angstrom Minerals Information and Reference Guide. She has been recognized in Marquis Who’s Who since 2003 for her contributions to naturopathic medicine.
Her approach emphasizes the interconnected roles of minerals in the body. She has long highlighted that minerals work best in balance—supporting the idea that calcium, for example, is more effectively utilized when complementary minerals such as magnesium, boron, copper, and manganese are also present.
